What is .jp and when is it useful?
.jp is Japan’s country-code domain. General-use names directly under .jp are not limited to companies: individuals, groups and organisations with a permanent postal address in Japan can apply. An export plan or frequent travel to Japan is not itself a permanent postal address. Confirm the actual address information required by the provider before applying.
Different Latin and Japanese lengths
A two-letter Latin abbreviation does not become valid merely because a one-character Japanese name can be allowed. Each label follows its own character-category rules.
.jp versus .co.jp
