SIDN’s overseas-holder address is for formal legal documents. You still need to supply your actual postal and email details.
Prepare the token and DNS records
Obtain the transfer token, back up the DNS zone and decide where email will remain. A domain transfer does not automatically migrate hosting files.
Do not rely on quarantine for renewal
Renew before cancellation to avoid interruption. Restoration fees and provider processing times can differ from routine renewal.

Does SIDN’s address become my business address?
No. The domicile arrangement concerns formal legal service. It does not imply a Dutch office or that SIDN handles your business mail.
Is release immediate after quarantine?
SIDN applies an additional random delay of zero to one hour after quarantine. The displayed end time is not a registration guarantee.

Can I register .nl from Türkiye?
Registrants with an address outside the Netherlands are accepted. SIDN’s automatic domicile arrangement applies; provide accurate contact details and any documents requested by your provider.
Can I use Turkish characters in .nl?
SIDN permits a–z, digits and hyphens. Choose an understandable ASCII spelling instead of letters such as ü or ş; names must contain two to 63 characters.
Who provides my .nl transfer token?
Obtain the transfer token from your current registrar; SIDN requires it to be provided within five days of a request. Before moving to DomainQ, check the token and accurate registrant details. The transfer is started with this token; ask our team about the steps.
Can I recover a cancelled .nl name?
The 40-day quarantine following cancellation gives the holder an opportunity to restore it. Ask for restoration rather than a new registration, and check fees and conditions first.
Does .nl also cover the Belgian market?
.nl signals the Netherlands, while .be signals Belgium. A language can serve both countries; base delivery, support and local-content decisions on the market as well as the language.
How much does a .nl domain cost?
The table above lists DomainQ’s standard .nl registration, renewal and transfer charges separately. Paying for a request does not remove the eligibility requirements. Check the final order total, selected period, taxes and any additional services before completing registration.
What should I check when choosing a cheap .nl domain?
Separate the registration price from renewal and possible quarantine-restoration charges. Do not confuse SIDN’s domicile arrangement for overseas registrants with a separately purchased commercial office service.
What does .nl mean for SEO?
.nl can provide a strong country signal for the Netherlands, but does not guarantee rankings. Relevant local content, crawlable pages and correct links between language versions still matter. Dutch language alone is not the same as targeting Belgium.
Does my .nl address include a website and email?
