What is .eu and when is it useful?
.eu can express a European project or brand identity. It communicates regional scope rather than a single country, while registration depends on a qualifying connection to the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway. The citizenship route
A citizen of an eligible country may qualify while living in Türkiye. Declare the actual applicant’s citizenship accurately.
Separate company and employee eligibility
An employee’s EU citizenship does not automatically make a Turkish company an eligible organisation. Decide which person or entity will legally and operationally hold the name.
Script and similarity
Treat Latin, Greek and Cyrillic versions as distinct. Lookalike characters from another script can create typing and trust problems.

Correct changed details through the registrar before completing My .eu validation. Distinguish the account-access code from the domain transfer code.
Renewal after a project ends
Assign payment responsibility and account access for a temporary consortium or campaign. Loss of holder eligibility is not resolved merely by changing billing details.

No. The emailed login code provides access to My .eu. For a transfer to DomainQ, use the separate transfer authorisation code generated inside the account or obtained from your current provider; ask our team if you need help identifying the required code.
Can a quarantined .eu be restored?
After ordinary deletion, restoration is possible through a registrar within 40 days. Only EURid can reactivate names it revoked for eligibility reasons.
How much does a .eu domain cost?
