.us is the United States country-code extension. What does Nexus mean?
Nexus classifies a registrant’s real US connection. It can be based on citizenship or residence, US incorporation, or a foreign entity’s bona fide US presence.
Does buying US hosting establish Nexus?
A hosting purchase alone does not establish holder eligibility. The individual or entity must satisfy the relevant Nexus category and make accurate policy declarations.
Can the proxy restriction be avoided with substitute details?
No. True and accurate registrant details are required. Using a provider’s or another person’s details to conceal the actual holder is not a compliant substitute.
